Miss Fashionetta® Membership Information
Miss FASHIONETTA® is a debutante cotillion designed to prepare and support high school students for college and beyond. One of the only events of its kind in the Metropolitan Chicago area, the cotillion culminates in a series of educational and cultural activities that foster academic achievement and social responsibility. Proceeds raised from the event support programs and activities that empower communities and promote academic excellence. Funds are also awarded as college scholarships to help students secure access to higher education, one of the key components to success.
Leading up to that special night, debutantes and their escorts embark on a journey of events and activities to broaden their perspectives educationally, socially, and culturally. Participation is a life-changing experience and an opportunity to be part of a rich legacy spanning decades.
To participate in Miss FASHIONETTA®, prospective debutante candidates must:
Be a high school junior or senior of high ethical standards and moral character
Be in good academic standing; have a GPA of at least 2.5
Demonstrate involvement in school, church, and community activities
Be willing to commit the time and dedication necessary to have a successful experience
Not married and not pregnant
Participation in Miss FASHIONETTA® requires a lot of time and concentrated effort on the part of the debutantes, escorts, and parents typically on Sunday afternoons. Debutantes and parents are expected to dedicate the time and effort required for workshops, rehearsals, and fundraising.
