Our History

AKA-Lade Foundation was established in 2006 as the philanthropic arm of Lambda Alpha Omega Chapter. AKA-Lade is a 501(c)3 organization that works in partnership with Lambda Alpha Omega to provide programs and services that empower communities in need.

AKA-Lade Foundation supports programs that enhance the health, welfare, economic, and educational development of individuals and families; and promotes appreciation for the arts. Program areas include:

Economic Empowerment

  • Financial and economic literacy

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Empowerment for low-income families

Education and Scholarship

  • Reading and literacy

  • Academic excellence for elementary and high school students

  • College preparation and career development

  • Miss FASHIONETTA® Teen Mentorship Program

  • Arts programs for youth in underserved communities

  • Promotion for appreciation of the arts

  • Health education and/or wellness in underserved communities
